We are proud to announce that our motion graphics work on the Super Furry Animals documentary, SFA Y Blynyddoedd Blewog, has been nominated for a BAFTA Cymru Award in the Special and Visual Effects, Titles and Graphic Identity category. This follows on from our nominations and win at last year’s event.
Having worked previously on Gruff Rhys’ films American Interior and Separado!, we teamed up with ie ie productions again to produce the graphics package for the documentary SFA Y Blynyddoedd Blewog (Super Furry Animals: The Furry Years). Our role involved packaging the eclectic mix of archive footage to help bring a consistency that matched the strong visual approach the band is synonymous with, including Pete Fowler’s artwork.
Bait created a museum of Monsterism inspired TV sets to travel between clips, developed the concept into a title sequence, end of part, beginning of part, stings, wipes, album chapter graphics, and printed ephemera collages.
The BAFTA Cymru Award winners will be announced at the ceremony in Cardiff on October 2nd 2016 – wish us luck.
