Enhancing Casualty’s one shot episode
It was no mean feat for the BBC’s long running drama series to film a ‘one-shot’ episode and we were proud to have been able to work on this landmark television event that brought down the curtain on series 31.
Our visual effects team worked on the pre-titles sequence of the episode, helping to increase the sense of jeopardy in a house fire scene by adding additional fire and smoke. We had to ensure this worked seamlessly alongside what had been created by the special effects team and captured in camera. We were also conscious the placement and movement of the fire had to take into account the performances of the actors involved.
