For the fourth consecutive year we have welcomed interns from the National Film and Television School Digital Effects MA course to Cardiff. Compositing intern Mark Graham and VFX Production intern Ashleigh Ramírez-Wilkins spent four weeks in the studio, getting to work on a variety of projects.
Our Creative Producer Peter Rogers was very impressed with how the interns performed: “I’m pleased that our ongoing relationship with the NFTS has continued and that once again we have been able to provide valuable experience to their MA students. Both interns settled in quickly and proved to be a real asset to the studio. We look forward to having more students at Bait in the future.”
Asheligh Ramirez-Wilkins had this to say about her experience: ‘It has been a fun and interesting experience being able to work with the Bait team at GloWorks this Summer. I have really enjoyed and appreciated seeing what it is to work in a real-world post house and learning how daily tasks are assigned and the routine of working within the industry. I will not forget this is experience and I am very thankful for the opportunity. I am taking what I learned here, and I look forward to using that knowledge moving forward in my VFX career.’
Student Mark Graham said: ‘I have had a great time working with the team at Bait Studio this summer. It’s been a great opportunity to see how a real studio operates and I’ve got to do my first production shots! Everyone has been really friendly and welcoming and it is a really nice creative and collaborative environment to work in. Definitely the kind of place I would like to work at when I graduate.’
