We collaborated with Coolhead Productions on a music video for legendary classic rock band Deep Purple, working closely with their record label Ear Music. The concept for the video was an ambitious one, tying into the themes explored on their latest album, InFinite and a motion comic approach made it possible to bring the idea to life.
Comic book artist Matt Rooke came on board to create the illustrated artwork and to co-directed the film with us. Our motion design team worked with Matt, using his artwork to create the finished film. If you are a fan of the band, or know their previous work there are plenty of nods to the past, as the video charts a physical journey and also a historical one through the career of the band. The artwork created for the video was also used for the Gold Edition release of the album.
